My name is Hendrik, and HydroStoep grew from many years of experimenting with hobby hydroponics.

Over the years I have built and tested a wide variety of systems, including NFT channels, Kratky systems, deep water culture, growing towers, and even aquaponics. These projects provided valuable hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of both the opportunities and challenges that come with hydroponic growing.

As an engineer, I have always enjoyed solving practical problems and simplifying complex systems. HydroStoep combines that engineering mindset with a passion for growing plants, resulting in a system designed to remove unnecessary complexity while keeping the rewarding parts of hydroponic growing intact

While hydroponics can produce exceptional results, many systems require pumps, complex setups, and expensive measuring equipment to achieve consistent performance. For many people this creates an unnecessary barrier to entry.

HydroStoep was created with a different goal in mind: to make hydroponic growing simple, accessible, and enjoyable.
